The Vermonter is one of Friendly’s best burgers; it comes on a Ciabatta roll, big beef burger cooked to your liking with Vermont white cheddar, maple pepper bacon with mayo, lettuce and tomato. This is an indulgence you must try.

New England Fish and Chips This is 5 deep battered pieces of cod fillets are joined by golden fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon wedges. This make me not miss my British roots as much.

Friendly Ice Cream Corporation was founded in 1935 in Springfield, Massachusetts. They own and operate a restaurant chain called Friendlys. The company was started by brothers, Curtis Blake and S. Prestley Blake. The company’s first store served only double-dipped cones for 5 cents. Today, it has some 16,000 people under its employ.

The Blake brothers retired and sold Friendlys to Hershey Foods Corporation in 1979 and in 1988 Donald N. Smith purchased the company from Hershey. Friendlys Ice Cream Corporation went public 1997 on NASDAQ stock exchange. In 1998, Friendlys offered franchise agreements. In 2007, it was sold Sun Capital Partners, Inc. for $337 million.

Friendlys serve different varieties of sundaes with many resembling the shape of a clown with Reese’s pieces for the eyes. Milkshake known as Fribble is a thick shake made from soft-served ice cream. The restaurant also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner items like burgers, fries, wraps and sandwiches. The company also manufactures and sells packaged premium ice cream to more than 4,000 supermarkets and other retail locations in twelve states of the United States of America.
